Global Ventures Spring 2019 edition now available

The spring edition of Global Ventures, the official publication of Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP), is now available on-line. CLICK HERE to read the latest issue.

The theme of this issue centres on agriculture/agri-value companies. Saskatchewan has long been recognized as a major supplier of reputable agriculture and agri-value products.

Marquis Milling and Grain: Russell Schroeder enjoys his run-of-the-mill job. Schroeder jumped at the opportunity to purchase Nunweiler’s Flour Company operation in 2016 and begin producing organic flour products. He has been focused on preserving the traditional values of the Nunweilers, pioneer farmers in western Canada who got their start in the early 1900s.

Koenders Water Solutions: One of the largest pond care companies in North America, Koenders is focused on “Saving the Planet’s Water, Nature’s Way.” The company did some valuable work for an orphanage in Cambodia. After having the Koenders Windmill Aeration System installed for its fish farm, the centre was able to increase fish production and pay for other resources at the orphanage.

Tu-Bees Foods Inc.: When 11-year-old Nicole Hein wanted to buy a horse, she naturally had to think of a way to raise some money. Not many girls her age would come up with the solution of of establishing a viable business. By thinking outside the box, Hein realized a sweet solution to traditional honey packaging. Her honey product line is now available throughout Western Canada.

Global Ventures is a great medium to relay timely messaging to the local business community and the network of international contacts that STEP has developed.
