For the past 10 years, Global Ventures has been Saskatchewan’s ultimate export resource. Distributed to thousands of business and government contacts locally, nationally and internationally, this publication highlights the successes of Saskatchewan’s export community through news and member profiles and showcases why it’s beneficial to work with exporters in our province. The publication also informs Saskatchewan’s exporters on the timely information they need to know.
Global Ventures is a publication of Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP) and Benchmark Public Relations oversees every aspect of the project, including project management, content creation/editing, design and advertising sales.
As we celebrate 10 years of this publication, we have also given the magazine a new facelift. For the spring 2018 issue, we unveiled a new design that gives Global Ventures a fresh new look and aligns with STEP’s new visual identity standards. Below, take a look at some before (left) and after (right) shots.
The quality of articles continues to draw readers into Global Ventures. Through the profiles of STEP members, readers meet some amazing companies that often started out with just an idea and today export products all over the world.
In this issue, we wrote an article about Engineered Code, which is run by Prince Albert entrepreneur Nicholas Hayduk, a computer programmer who has the unique distinction of being a licensed professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. From creating an online job board for the Physician Recruitment Agency of Saskatchewan to launching the online Saskatchewan Lobbyist Registry to partnering with Microsoft, the company is changing the way in which data is managed online.
We worked with the Humboldt & District Chamber of Commerce for a unique piece highlighting the Humboldt Region and why it’s a great place to work, live and invest. In 2016, The City of Humboldt was recognized in the 22nd Edition of the Communities in Bloom National & International Awards Ceremonies. We interviewed the Chamber and members of the business community for the article. We hope profiling regions in the province will be a reoccurring theme for Global Ventures.
We also profiled Brett Flahr’s company Spring Meadows Natural Pet Food. Flahr grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan and his family’s practice of giving their pets tasty meat leftovers eventually inspired him to launch his own line of natural pet food with his partner. The company has gotten creative with marketing by hiring a U.S. documentary film maker to create a promotional video.
Benchmark Public Relations looks forward to continuing the proud tradition of Global Ventures and highlighting the export community. To view the latest issue of Global Ventures, visit the link below:
